Let's Talk About the Concept of Judgement

Let’s talk about hwɛɖiɖɔ, the Aja word for "judgement"...because the spiritual community loves to twist this one. People are always saying you shouldn't judge. The sad thing is that lack of judgement often allows foolishness to go unchecked.

First of all, judgment is required to be a human being in a human body. You cannot walk through this world, in full awareness, without using judgment. You judge what to eat. You judge who or what is safe. You judge where your energy belongs. Judgment is not inherently bad. It’s a mechanism of survival. It’s a tool of clarity. It’s an act of sovereignty.

But the spiritual  or so called conscious "community" loves to throw the word "judgment" around without context, as if all judgment is evil, and as if you become more enlightened by ignoring your discernment. That’s not enlightenment. That’s bypassing and, in truth, lack of self accountability. That’s spiritual passivity masquerading as peace. That’s energy policing cloaked in love and light nonsense.

There is a difference between judgment that comes from  𞤲𞤵𞤩𞤮𞥇 nugbǒ (truth) and judgment that comes from 𞤍𞤥𞤹𞤣𞥉𞤫𞤧𞤽𞤸𞤱𞤫 mɛɖesɔhwe (ego). Both are forms of judgement either way.

Judgment rooted in truth is quiet. It’s direct. It’s grounded. It doesn’t try to convince anybody. It just knows. It’s what tells you, “That person/situation/thing is not safe.” “That situation is not for me.” “That energy does not match mine.” It keeps you aligned. It keeps you clear. It keeps you alive.

But judgment rooted in ego is insecure. It’s loud. It wants to be seen. It tries to feel superior. It wants to shame. It needs to control. It’s not about clarity, it’s about fear. Obviously, all judgment is not the same but they are all forms of judgement.

Some judgment is a holy act of protection. Some judgment is a desperate cry from the wounded ego. If you cannot tell the difference, you will either walk through life misjudging everything or letting in what is meant to destroy you. This is why real power comes from judgment that is conscious, clean, and sourced from truth.
