Monarch Title – 𞤢𞥈𞤿𞤽𞥇 (Axɔ́)
The Xévíe monarchy was founded by a woman named Ajara. 21 of its 54 monarchs were women. Bolded names represent a female ruler. Each name first appears in the Wékun Kilɔmbo script created by the king and founder, and then in the Latin script. The script is written and read from right to left. The language is the Ajã language of Southern Benin Republic.

6052 – 6071 (1811 – 1830). The illegitimate Hanhun family usurped the throne, but ruled in turmoil because the people did not recognize them.
6063 (1822) crown prince Ságbãju, having been recognized as the leader of his people in Ọ̀yọ́, attempts to come back from exile and retake the throne. He and his family are ambushed by Yọrùbá Muslims. Many are killed. Some sold into captivity. He was held on a palm oil plantation on 𞤺𞤤𞤫𞤿𞤱𞤫 Glexwe (Wydah) for 3 months and eventually sold sold into american captivity landing in Mobile, Alabama escaping upon landing and becoming a citizen of a Maroon community of other escaped and free Afrikans not too far from Mobile. The ship was marked to go to Cuba but it made two stops in the United states. This is important to know since the international aspect of the so called slave trade has been banned in 1808. Either way, these events ended the legitimate dynasties in Xévíe.
