Gànhúmɛhàn is various ancient teachings with additional revisions and additions by Ayìnɔn Àgɛ̀lɔ̀gbàgàn Agbɔvì I. Thus, he gave the compiled, revised, and additional teachings the name Gànhúmɛhàn. The title Gànhúmɛhàn connotes triumphant by living through spirit. The name literally means "chants/songs of glorious victory in spirit; song of triumph". The Gànhúmɛhàn extols the virtues of living in spirit. These are the teachings that instruct us to hoard only righteousness.
This content of this work was rediscovered, organized, edited, and recomposed by Ayìnɔn, and is considered a rarity in the Vodún world because many were cut off from its teachings and these ancient teachings were added to in this era by a descendant of captive (enslaved) Afrikans whose maternal lineage comes from the ancient Ajã city of Xévié (Hevie). As its name implies, this sacred (once oral) text is chanted in a song like pattern.
These are powerful chants that are used to address all aspects of life. It is written in the Ajã language using N’ko script along with the Latin writing script of the Ajã chants. There are no English translations.
This book is very important for those in Vodún who are not only interested in restoring these once suppressed/lost teachings, but also for the fact that in one place one has the most major chants and power activators.
